Story of Story of Ibra
When Ibra was in the second grade, he lost his parents and was forced to live in the streets from then on. Fortunately, he met Pastor Elisante and soon after he was given a new chance at Mwema Children Centre. Today, Ibra is a thriving young man with an education and a vision for his future. He currently works as a sponsor in Mwema and is a great role model for the current Mwema children.
Story of Godlisten
Mwema accompanied Godlisten for over 10 years, supporting him from primary school to secondary school and all the way from secondary school to university. Being a child full of ambition, Godlisten managed to get a full time job after graduation. Mwema has been able to support him to this point!
He is now employed by UTRACK AFRICA LIMITED, a dynamic leader in the distribution of GPS tracking, fleet management, fuel management and cargo tracking products and services, as an IT Assistant and Controller.
Story of Pius Apson
Pius Apson was supported for 11 years from primary school through secondary school and on to college. He graduated as a game warden on 23 November 2020 and was supported by Mana in the final stages of his studies.
Now he is employed by Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) as a game warden. His life has changed and he can now financially support his family.
Story of Tumaini Tiotem
Tumaini Tiotem, a child that was also supported by Mwema Children Centre, graduated at Lioness Collage in Karatu, Arusha his certificate in Tour Guiding Management. As part of his practical learning, Tumaini received a six months field works training at Tarangire National Park in same field.
It has been a long journey for him but now he is celebrating his achievement. He is now self-employed as small merchant while waiting for his Tour Guiding job application to so that he starts supporting his family.
Story of Emanuel Baha
Emanuel Baha has also been receiving Mwema support for the past ten years from Primary school to secondary school and then Collage.
On November 26, Emanuel Baha graduated with a Certificate in in Hotel Management. In addition, as part of his practical studies, he received his training at Eileen Hotel in Arusha as Chef and several times was shifted to Arusha town for the same. According to collegues, he is one of the best chefs. However, he is still looking for a job.
He secured another area for training in Zanzibar where he is now volunteering.
Story of Yohana Beatus
Yohana was on the of the girls supported by Mwema, who was doing very good at Secondary school level. She is the only daughter in her family of 8 children who have gone to school.
In October 2021 she did her final examination for Certificate of Secondary school education level (CSSE).
Her final results were good and she qualified to proceed with Collage. She is doing her Wildlife Management Diploma at Pasiansi Mwanza she aspires to be a good Game Ranger!
